Republican Mike Johnson was narrowly relected US house speaker on Friday after hard-right members of the GOP initially heldout votes. Republican party members did eventually rally for Johnson, but “that brief revolt today points to potential further dissent to come,” David Smith, The Guardian Washington Correspondent told FRANCE 24.
