Thought The Stars Of The Four Seasons Looked Familiar? Here’s Where You’ve Seen The Cast Before

Netflix’s new hit comedy The Four Seasons boasts a seriously impressive team both in front of and behind the camera.
As well as being written by and starring Tina Fey (adapted from the 1981 movie of the same name), it also stars a host of acclaimed performers, most notably Steve Carell and Colman Domingo.
But if the 30 Rock creator’s new TV offering has got you pondering where you’ve seen select cast members for, allow us to bring you up to speed…

Tina Fey first rose to fame on her home turf when she joined the cast of Saturday Night Live, where she was a cast member for nine years (perhaps most notably impersonating Sarah Palin during the 2008 US election), before going on to create and star in 30 Rock, heavily inspired by her experiences on the much-loved sketch comedy.
You may also know Tina for her portrayal of Ms Norbury in the teen comedy Mean Girls and its musical remake, both of which she wrote.
Her other most notable on-screen work includes The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (another series which she wrote herself), Date Night (co-starring her Four Seasons co-star Steve Carell) and the Disney sequel Muppets Most Wanted.

Most of us know Steve Carell for his long-running portrayal of Michael Scott in the American remake of The Office, which earned him seven nominations and a Golden Glonbe win.
He also starred in films like The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Anchorman, Bruce Almighty, Little Miss Sunshine, Despicable Me (providing the voice of Gru), Foxcatcher (which earned him an Oscar nomination) and Beautiful Boy.
As for his additional TV work, he was nominated for an Emmy for playing disgraced TV personality Mitch Kessler in Apple TV+’s The Morning Show.
Colman Domingo

Colman Domingo has two back-to-back Oscar nominations to his name thanks to his roles in Rustin and Sing Sing, and won an Emmy for his portrayal of Zendaya’s on-screen mentor Ali in Euphoria.
He has also starred in the likes of Fear The Walking Dead, Selma, If Beale Street Could Talk, Zola and, more recently, the big-screen musical adaptation of The Color Purple.
Will Forte

Like Tina, Will Forte first rose to fame as a cast member on SNL, appearing regularly between 2002 and 2010, with one of his recurring characters, MacGruber, even landing his own spin-off movie.
He later reunited with SNL colleague Tina on multiple episodes of 30 Rock, and has become a renowned voice artist, portraying characters in the likes of the Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs films, The Lego Movie, Bob’s Burgers and Sausage Party.
Will also co-created and starred in the post-apocalyptic comedy The Last Man On Earth, which ran for four seasons between 2015 and 2017.
Kerri Kenney-Silver

Fans of Reno 911! will recognise Kerri for her Emmy-nominated performance as Deputy Trudy Wiegel.
More recently, she appeared in the Netflix rom-com Love, the US sitcom 2 Broke Girls and the cult favourite Superstore, in which she played Jerusha Sturgis.
Erika Henningsen

Before The Four Seasons, Erika had just a handful of on-screen roles, including the sitcom Girls 5Eva (co-produced by Tina Fey), the animated musical Hazbin Hotel and the Amazon Prime comedy Harlem.
However, she is an established theatre performer, most famously originating the role of Cady Heron in the musical Mean Girls, as well as appearing in Broadway productions of Les Misérables and Just In Time.
Marco Calvani

Italian playwright Marco Calvani is probably best known for his work behind the camera, before being cast as Claude in The Four Seasons.
He does have a slew of on-screen credits in his native Italy, though. We could list them all, but to be honest, you’re probably better off checking out his IMDB page for yourself if you want to know more about his work.
Julia Lester

High School Musical devotees might know Julia Lester for her work in the preppy Disney+ spinoff mockumentary High School Musical: The Musical: The Series (which previously helped launch the career of Olivia Rodrigo).
Julia’s past TV work has included Disney’s Hailey’s On It! and the sitcom Mom, while last year she starred opposite Ginny & Georgia star Antonia Gentry in the film Prom Dates.
She is also a Tony nominee thanks to her performance in the Broadway revival of Into The Woods as Little Red Ridinghood.
Alan Alda

Alan Alda starred in and directed the 1981 film The Four Seasons, on which Tina’s Netflix series is based, as well as making a brief cameo as Anne’s father.
Throughout his career, he won six Emmys for his work on M*A*S*H and a guest appearance in The West Wing, and was also Oscar nominated thanks to the 2005 film The Aviator.
Other stand-out work on his CV includes a guest appearance in 30 Rock, the Oscar-winning Netflix movie Marriage Story, a short stint in ER as Dr. Gabriel Lawrence, The Good Fight and the tragicomedy The Big C.
